Scott Mallory has brought horses through sales rings for nearly two decades, but Aug. 10 proved to be a uniquely special night at Fasig-Tipton's The Saratoga Sale. The third-generation horseman had seen several of his horses tick higher and higher before the gavel fell, but had not seen one cross over the million-dollar mark.
